Somerville House Rowers have been competing with great success in the Brisbane Schoolgirls’ Rowing Association (BSRA) for over thirty years.
In the lead-up to the 2022 Brisbane Schoolgirls’ Head of the River, we were tasked with capturing the life and essence of the Somerville First VIII crew in the hopes of raising morale ahead of the competition.
The Queensland Head of the River is the largest rowing regatta of each season. There is a tremendous amount of tradition and prestige surrounding the event, prompting the teams and their school to elevate hearts and attitudes, fostering a sense of team spirit.
We acknowledge the Jagera and Turrbal people who are the Traditional Custodians of the land on which we work.
We pay our respects to their Elders both past and present, and to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
