The Client

Each year, the QMA Song of the Year is immortalised in a plaque on Fortitude Valley's Walk of Fame in the Brunswick Street Mall. Since 2006 a host of breakthrough Queensland acts have earned their place among these icons. With an ever-evolving roster of categories, the ceremony has shone a light on Queensland artists across many different genres, videos, festivals, and venues. The success of Regional Queenslanders over the years proves that our brightest talents are spread far and wide, coming together on Queensland music's night of nights.

The Purpose

QMusic engage SLATE to redesign and restructure the 2022 Queensland Music Awards website. The primary objective of the engagement was to communicate the positivity and 'magic' of the event whilst providing the QMusic team with an easy to use and adjustable backend.

The Strategy

Working in collaboration with the internal design team - we created a journey for the user. Through dynamic gradients and elements we wanted to provide the user with sprinkle of magic which interacted with their movement's across the site. We developed the site to have simple front end customisation alongside a custom CMS within the backend which allowed the team to manage the various Finalists and Winners.
